Bonnie Marshall Mother of God Primary School "The content of the story was appropriate for the level of the children that were present. Children were involved throughout he performance and they enjyed it. The performance was of a high standard. It was presented well. It ran smoothly and it was organised in a way that didn't create a disturbance at the school. The explanation on how to make puppets after the show was very interesting and the children and staff enjoyed seeing the 'behind the scenes' tour! Very professional incursion that will help stimulate our learning in the inquiry unit this term, 'tell me your story'. 10/10".

Melanie Gilroy-Scott Seaford North Primary School "All the staff commented on how much we enjoyed your show. The interaction with the children was great. They really enjoyed the story of "The wizard's tale". It was great to see handmade puppets as this leads into what our children will be doing this term. It as given them many ideas to make the most of our topic on puppets. The children are all excited about making their own theatres and puppets. 10/10"

Bethany Dundas Essendon Keilor Gymnastics Academy "The whole workshop was fantastic! Very well run. John kept all the kids engaged and seemed to know exactly what to say to them for every aspect of the workshop - from making sure they cleaned up, to explaining how to wait 3 minutes for their glue to set. I would definitely reccommend it to any other school, aftercare, vacation care etc and will without doubt look into having the workshop again next year and possibly a puppet show as well. 10/10"

We felt the content was appropriate to the age of the children and fitted well with our unit of work. The children thoroughly enjoyed the performance and loved being able to call out and participate with the show. Seeing the different elements of how the puppet theatre was operated was also HIGHLY BENEFICIAL and ineteresting to the children - it gave them great ideas for performing their own plays. 10/10"

Deb Karanzoulis Croydon Hills Primary School "Children obviously enjoyed the show and were engaged throughout, they also thoroughly enjoyed the 'after the show' chat where they saw how it all worked 'behind the scenes'. Relevant and appropriate to the age level, good use of humour to keep children engaged. The incursion complimented our unit of work for this term, especially when you discussed the various aspects of the performance, eg. backdrops, lighting, sound, script. The workshops enabled all children to experience success on the day and then have the opportunity to further develop their puppets in their own time. John had a VERY PROFESSIONAL BUT FUN APPROACH with the kids and developed a rapport with them very quickly. Children were fascinated with the features of the fold-up theatre and the fact that it was a completec one man show. THANK YOU we all loved it. 10/10"

Louise Brewer Boronia West Primary School "John's performance was professional and very enjoyable for students. The students learnt a lot about plays and presenting a puppet show. The after show talk about theatre and a puppeteer's secrets was INVALUABLE for students and impressed the staff attending. Organisation and communication via email was great and very prompt. The workshop ran like clockwork, even though there were lots of kids. Overall, a fantastic way to engage our kids in our 'pilling strings' topic. 10/10"

Your show was designed as an introduction to our puppet unit - and what a WOW factor you were! The kids were 100% engaged 100% of the time. They participated with vigor, laughed a lot and all learnt something new. Their imaginations and enthusiasm were sparked and they are all feeling inspired to learn more, create and perform. Thank you so much! 10/10"

Jordi Nacarov Epping Pre School "The content of the show was good, they were able to keep the childrens attention. The children enjoyed being able to interact with the puppets. Some talking points after the show were "The fish sneezed on us", "Billy the dog was funny, he showed us his yard", "The animals made the wrong noises", "It was funny they were tricky". John was good with the children, he had them sitting quietly. We would recommend this performance to others. 10/10"

Brooke Fergusson Melton West Primary School "Today's performance was thoroughly enjoyed by both staff and children. The children were still talking of the performance at the end of the day, and I'm sure this will continue over coming weeks. The presenter used the right mx of humour and instruction to engage the students. The content was very relevant to our students as not only could they relate to the stories told, but also the language was very appropriate. Of particular importance was the educational aspect of participating in an audience and the elements of puppetry and creating a puppet from found objects. This performance was a terrific stimulus for the continuation of our 'puppet show!' inquiry topic. Thank you for a fantastic incursion. 10/10"

Personally I don't know how you do it!? It is great how you get everyone involved. This new knowledge has transferred into the classroom. It's not often you see so many kids experiencing a really good belly laugh. Good job John, we appreciate all you do and the kids love it. 10/10"

Jaci Lundy Parkdale Primary School "The children really enjoyed the story and the humour was very clever and suitable for their level. The majority of the children cited 'Jason squirting water at us' as their highlight. VERY PROFESSIONAL. It was great that the expectations of the students as audience members were outlined from the very beginning. There was not a hitch in the performance - you could tell John had done this show many times but still really enjoyed presenting it! The students are now REALLY MOTIVATED to design and make their own puppets and theatres. It was very beneficial to see inside the puppet theatre and discuss all it's features. The children were excited to see photos of their puppets on your website.10/10"
